A Decoration to Remember

The month of December that seems so cold yet so exciting. Getting ready for gifts, foods, and decorations that complete the preparation of Christmas. My December was a blast, full of funny and stressful memories that challenged my spirit. As the year was ended, it extends me to remember some parts of it.

It was indeed a month to remember with the one decoration to remember. Seeing the product of our handwork could really give me a relieving sigh, saying "hmmm.. nahuman rajud". Conceptualizing it was the hardest one, nevertheless God gave us the wisdom to create a decoration that we could be proud of.

Having this decoration, gave us a lot of work and we really find effort to look for old newspapers to build the cone-shape tree. As I was making the cone-shape tree while my other group-mates rolled the newspapers, I was a bit nervous on how to finish that perfectly. As I was watching the YouTube video, it really looks easy but then when I was the one doing it several times it was very difficult. I pause for a moment and hoped for God to let His will be done.

Surprisingly, wow! we're stunned by the patterns that was formed, it looked like a stair from the bottom up to the top. I was thankful back then to my group mates and unto God. Honestly, we're just few in making the Parol but we let them be where they are back then. At least, we felt the genuine feeling of making that Parol in our own bear hands.

On the other note, the true essence of Christmas is having Christ being with you and added decorations, acts of giving, sharing, and loving are just bonuses. In our Christmas Parol, we added some angels at the bottom to represent the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord. Though our Parol was not big enough like the others, for me it was big enough to see the awestruck meaning of it and it was really a Decoration to Remember.
