I MISS IT ALL; MY LAST DAY OF IMMERSION            I miss it all... The things that we get used to do in our immersion place, the warm smiles of the people, the smell of paints and papers, and the foods that is worth to stay. In my last day, I started it with a big smile on my face as I came in the BAC department. With their knowledge, they always say "Mahuman najud mo diri, mingaw na kaayu mi huhu." Honestly, leaving them was not easy, I know how hard and stressful their job is, and at least there was a time were they felt being relieved by our help.            I miss it all... The bondings and the relationship we've built in each department, they made us feel like we are one of them. I actually like how my brother handle me there, I wasn't expecting how he manage to give me "meriendas" and things that I might needed. I was fond with the jokes they bring out against my brother, they threatened him that they might ...

18 THINGS I'VE LEARNED IN THE IMMERSION Be Patient. To work is to be patient in every thing you do. In our Immersion days, we were bombarded with lots of paper works, and I was one of the students whom assigned in the BAC department. Indeed, it was a lot of work like how my brother told me. I should be patient in finishing my work with satisfaction in my task. Be Humble. To work is to humble yourself in your superiors. In DPWH, they have different heads in each department, and no matter what command they want me to do, I must follow with humility and desire to obey. Be Committed. To work is to commit yourself in the tasks and assignments. BAC department has a lot of works to do but limited in people to do the job, that's why they are very thankful to have us. Of course with that thanksgiving, it was expected that they would give me tasks and assignments. By doing that, I must commit myself to finish and do it successfully. Be Open. To work is to open you...

A New Feeling A new Feeling, I guess. As I step to the gate of the Department of Public Works and Highways, I felt the urge to learn and to work.  Heart beats fast, as I was being deployed in the construction department. I was adjusting in the new aura of the place. The smell of the papers, inks, and folio papers that lingers in my nose, made me felt something new.            My First Day was merely an adjusting day for me, my first job was to encode the materials of the construction projects and it was fun to do it. I also did some taking notes of the sites where bridge widening was being build. Furthermore, I slowly got to memorize each faces of the workers there. The big smiles, the hospitality of the workers, and how they manage to be open on addressing us students. They taught us how to learn and how to act like professionals. To sum it all up, it was a great day in starting my experience in explori...

Pre-Immersion Orientation and Send Off Ceremony            Attitude is more important than the achievements we have. In the pre-immersion orientation, I learned a lot of things and it widens my perspective in the idea of immersing. There are three simple yet strong learnings that I learned. One of the things I learned is to be neat and presentable in front of everyone that you  will look professional in appearance. Secondly, we must be true in writing our own resumes and application letters that we may be able to express our objectives and good intentions. Lastly, the best thing I learned is that attitude is important beyond anything, for it is the best thing you could ever have upon being a kind individual.                    On the other note, the send off ceremony was a blast for me. It was a feeling of joy and sorrow. A feeling for joy that we may be able to be sent off in the new environm...

My Simbalay  Experience “The best simbalay ever!” Before this year ends, I’m glad to share that this simbalay festival was the best among what I have experienced before. Lights are everywhere and the places were beautifully arranged, wherein all people can appreciate the beauty of each barrangay’s masterpiece. I appreciate how Nabunturan impro ved in such beauty with the magnificent nature and the kind-hearted people. Among the “kubo”, I love the Pangutusan’s hand-made house for it was build according to its abundant fruit which is the coconut. On the other note, my fun was not yet over with that experience. One of my memorable experienced in the simbalay was to participate a game in the gymnasium while we are waiting for the guests in the basketball court. It was probably a virtue with no choice in being there at the center with a huge crowd looking at you. It was embarrassing for me at the same time fun, though I can’t stop laughing while playing but even ...

A nice scene captured my heart as I watched the girl hugged her mama. I must say, it was a very heart-catching moment with their tears of joy and appreciation. I celebrated my parents day wihout my parents, it's sad but I get used to it somehow.           It's not new for me to celebrate school activities without their participation. I intend to be with my yaya since I was in elementary because of the same reason until now which is, "they are busy". Now, I am independent of these kind of celebrations because I kind of enjoy it naman somehow. Actually, I celebrated parents day in a tiring but fun way. Instead of thinking about how I should have been with my parents, I was embracing it by...

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1324276621015440&id=347052068737905      "Humans are not for Sale!" We have the right to fight for our stand and dignity.      This  video shows the predictability of human trafficking. Human trafficking is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. As I watched the video, it shows how vulnerable we are in knowing people that we intend to trust.       Nowadays, people suffer from money crisis and they strive to earn for their families. In addition, they thought they could possibly trust someone to help them but instead they will become a victim of what we called "Human Trafficking."      To eradicate this serious crime, I want to sign a petition for the rights of those victims by posting in a certain site which is "change.org" wherein I could raise my voice to encourage others. Moreover, I will help those victims and share my knowledge about su...
